I have known Jenna for close to 16 years. In that time, I have had the pleasure of watching the tremendous growth of both her equestrian skills and professional business. She is one of the rare individuals in the field who has combined a deep passion for equestrian sports, superb riding skills, an uncompromising commitment to horses, and the natural gift to teach all ages and levels of riders equally well.

Over the years I have dealt with Jenna is various capacities as a horse owner and rider. When the decision was made to retire back to Texas in 2020 there was no question that Jimbo and I had to be with Jenna. She had proven her training abilities with Jimbo in prior years with great success, but I was mostly drawn back to her for her integrity and quality horse care. As it would turn out, circumstances dictated that for the three years I had left with Jimbo I saw Jenna’s rehabilitation skills more than normal training. She has an amazing ability to assess a horse’s needs and work closely with other equine professionals to design comprehensive rehabbing plans. I was amazed at the success she achieved with Jimbo.

I did not start my training with Jenna until our return to Texas. At that point I was a senior aged amateur rider with multiple major issues stemming from a serious riding accident that a score of prior trainers had not been able to address. With Jenna’s amazing understanding of biomechanics and a ton of patience, I was able to undo many bad habits I had acquired and begin to feel safe and more confident in my riding skills. I found it more than amazing that in the past dozen years no one had taken time to teach me the how and whys of what I was attempting to do. I think that is one of Jenna’s biggest strengths as a trainer. She has so many approaches to her teaching that just about anyone’s learning styles and physical abilities can be accommodated. Jenna has a tremendous wealth of knowledge for all things equestrian. I love that she continues to challenge herself to learn and improve and happily passes the knowledge along to her students and the horses.

Despite my age, despite my deep fears in many areas, and despite my physical limitations Jenna was able to show me how to become a kinder, more effective and knowledgeable rider. Her encouragement, patience and consistency gave me the confidence I needed to ride and work with Jimbo without fear for the first time. He and I gained a great measure of joy in our last months together thanks to Jenna. Despite his passing in late 2023, I have found personal satisfaction and a challenge to continue working on my riding skills. I hope the journey still has many year and miles to go!
